Church & Human Rights In Latin America : An 11 page research paper on the role
that liberation theology has played in developing human rights in Latin America. The Latin

Women in Colonial Latin America : a
6 page research paper which examines the role of women in colonial Latin America. The
colonial world of Latin America was intrinsically different from that of North America and
this difference had a tremendous impact on the women of Latin America at that time.
Although North America was rich in natural resources, the natives of North America did not
have the gold of the Incas or the Aztecs. Consequently, the Europeans that came to North
America's shores came to colonize-they brought women with them. Those early Europeans,
specifically the Spanish, that came to Latin America did so solely for the purposes of
exploitation, not for colonization. Because of this, the Spanish conquerors typically did
not bring women with them from Europe. The writer argues that the native women in colonial
Latin America were viewed by Europeans as simply one more resources that they could
exploit. Bibliography lists 7 sources. Womncol.wps

True Latin-American History : A 4 page look at issues concerning the Pre-Columbian

The Economy of Brazil: The economy
in Brazil and much of Latin America is very near collapse, despite past political and
economic gains in the region. The poor performances will result in more poverty and
delayed economic growth. The primary responsibility for the economic condition lies with
the political structure, however, the private sector has possessed the means to hedge
against or even benefit from inflation through dollar accounts and overnight accounts.
There is no support for change from either the general populace or from the business
sector that would provide incentive for the political structure. Inflation has played a
major role in the interaction between the economy and the political support for positive
economic policies. The 'Real Plan' was initiated in 1944 as an attempt to curtail
substantial price increases. Political decisions, then and now, have negatively impacted
well-intentioned economic plans seeking to improve the economic future of Brazil. This 10

and recommendations for positive change in the economic policies. Bibliography lists 13
